i always look at the picture first not because i'm being shallow but because if there is no attraction there then why would i waste my time trying to date them but the most important part for me is what they have to say about themselves -because she could be the most attractive girl in the world but if we have nothing in common i would be wasting both of our time

Looks and what they say in their profile do not mean much to me...I've found both to be misleading... I've also found that by listening/reading what they have to say in the forums to be more telling of the person that they really are . However, the forums can be misleading as well, as some people do not always be their "true self" in the forums either... I'm really not untrusting, just not so naive as I once was here , lol!

This is so very true! You will learn nothing about me from what I write in the forums. I present what I want you to see. My humor is dry and is often taken as a serious comment. I don't bother correcting people when they take me serious, because then the humor is lost!. My self-loathing and grumpy old man is a schtick, I sit here and laugh at all the people who have come to hate this " grumpy old fool" But as Rick Nelson said, "...you can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself!"laugh

If I like something they say on the forum, or if I see someone local that sounds interesting, I'll drop them a line, but I don't do it very often. The local crop here is extremely limited.

Course it only takes one.

What does it take for you to send someone a message? Is it the way they look in their pictures or what they say in their profile. I personally rarely ever send messages unless I know them ( met through the forum). Please vote and explain.

I usually wait until someone make a poll like this and then i flirt with them here.laugh

Good luck...I don't feel like thinking today,right now.cheers
