Why is it that some folks(opposite sex) are attracted to you, and others aren't, and you just can't figure out why? Is it a law of attraction/karma,regarding a past experience? What exactly is it?

I don't know, it's annoying when the people I'm not interested in are keen on me though. They can be a real pain.

an even better question is: Is it me or has the opposite sex forgotten what sending out mixed signals does to a persons mind or is the world in such sad shape that we feel a constant desire to SCREW with peoples minds and pardon the blunt statement NOT THEM?

Okay. To get back to the topic of the thread. I believe attraction works on several different, and sometimes unconscious levels. People are always talking about chemistry when they actually meet in person. But chemistry can't possibly be a factor over the net, unless its mental and emotional chemistry. Some people rub each other the wrong way in this department, but when they actually meet, the physical chemistry is overwhelming. Is this going to lead to a LTR? I doubt it, because attraction, as I said, depends on so many other levels than the physical...

Allright, 2 people most unsuitable for each other ended up with each other, and the world knows they shouldn't be together. Is this a love/hate attraction?

Isn't that the truth! It seems the guys I am interested in, usually are not that into me. The ones I am not interested in, are the ones who are into me. Go figure! dunno

People stay with people they're not suited for, for a variety of reasons. It's mostly likely a codependent attraction. One person feels morally superior to the other, but knows if he/she were to date/marry someone else, their sense of moral superiority would probably be non-existent in the new relationship.

This tends to be the most common in terms of abusive relationships. The battered wife doesn't leave because her basic lack of self-worth is validated by the abuse she receives, and she can feel superior to the abuser at the same time. But in a relationship with a real nice guy, something she fundamentally feels she doesn't deserve, she can't take a holier than thou position, because he doesn't do anything to deserve it...

Because what one person finds attractive is not necessarily what the next person finds attractive...a lot of what you find attractive and pleasing to you comes from your life experiences, they are what make you who you are and define what you perceive as attractive/pleasant wine
