Support her. Jeepers. "You're unemployed. Get out of my house..." Youch.

In most of my relationships, the pants were worn one leg each...dancing

by all means suport, console, and encourage.

as for expectations, only a few, total honesty, support, and understanding, on both parts.

i fully support her, whether she looses her job, or she wants to quit because she does not like the job

i expect she will wait for me with a warm hug and a long loving kiss

Support her, but would also expect her to be out there looking hard for another job, not just sitting at home doing nothing.
and would also expect her to take a bigger share of the home duties while not working.

Balance.

Because when Im in a relationship.. w/ both working,, I did just as much around the house.. Laundry,, cooking, washing dishes,, cleaning house and so on..

But when I was last married.. she soon lost her job. did nothing but laundry. refused to even try to get another job. and even had the gall to tell me when I came home from work.. that I needed to dust the house, when she had done nothing but watch tv all day.

She was an RN.. could have easily got another job.. but said she didn't want to work.. 4 months after we got married.

well hell, I didn't want to work either.. but thats how we surviveD'oh!

I agree abt wal-mart.. but still should be out pounding the pavement looking for another job.

Put as much effort into looking for another job as you would working a job.

I could be over anilizing this but I get the fealing that valleygirl had a bad day and is in need of suport, reasurance, and uncerstanding. but is having a hard time asking for it. while I always advocate giving an honest opinion about the subject at hand we also must keep in mind the cercemstances that made someone post the question, and thier fealings. need or want for reasurance, understanding, and in general just a friend, someone to talk to, when we post our responces, because if the above is what she need and wants, then as "friends" here we should try our best to give it jmo
