78. The (Great) News (An-Nabaa)

This chapter has 40 verses.
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
1. Concerning what are they disputing?

5. Verily, verily they shall soon (come to) know!
6. Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse,
7. And the mountains as pegs?
8. And (have We not) created you in pairs,
9. And made your sleep for rest,
10. And made the night as a covering,
11. And made the day as a means of subsistence?
12. And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments,
13. And placed (therein) a blazing lamp?
14. And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance,
15. That We may produce therewith corn and vegetables,
16. And gardens of luxurious growth?
17. Verily the Day of Sorting Out is a thing appointed,
18. The Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds;
19. And the heavens shall be opened as if there were doors,
20. And the mountains shall vanish, as if they were a mirage.
21. Truly Hell is as a place of ambush,
22. For the transgressors a place of destination:
23. They will dwell therein for ages.
24. Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink,
25. Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold,
26. A fitting recompense (for them).
27. For that they used not to look for any account (for their deeds),
28. But they (impudently) treated Our Signs as false.
29. And all things have We preserved on record.
30. "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Chastisement."
31. Verily for the Righteous there will be an Achievement;
32. Gardens enclosed, and grapevines;
33. Madians of equal age;
34. And a Cup full (to the Brim).
35. No vanity shall they hear therein, nor Untruth:-
36. Recompense from thy Lord, a gift, (amply) sufficient,
37. (From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between, the Most Gracious: none shall have power to argue with Him.
38. The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand forth in ranks, none shall speak except any who is permitted by the Most Gracious, and he will say what is right.
39. That is the True Day: therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) return to his Lord!
40. Verily, We have warned you of a Chastisement near, the Day when man will see (the Deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, "Woe unto me! Would that I were (mere) dust!"

12. Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants.

14. He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery,
15. And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke:
16. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?
17. (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests:

19. He has let free the two Seas, meeting together:
20. Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress:

22. Out of them come Pearls and Coral:

24. And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains:

29. Of Him seeks (its need) every creature in the heavens and on earth: every day in (new) Splendor doth He (shine)!

31. Soon shall We settle your affairs, O both ye worlds!
32. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?
33. O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!
34. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?
35. On you will be sent (O ye evil ones twain!) a flame of fire (to burn) and a (flash of) molten brass: no defense will ye have:
36. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?
37. When the sky is rent asunder, and it becomes red like ointment:
38. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?
39. On that Day no question will be asked of man or Jinn as to his sin.
40. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?
41. (For) e48 the sinners will be known by their marks: and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet.
42. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?
43. This is the Hell which the Sinners deny:
44. In its midst and in the midst of boiling hot water will they wander round!

61. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?
62. And besides these two, there are two other Gardens,-
63. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?-
64. Dark-green in color (from plentiful watering).
65. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?
66. In them (each) will be two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance:
67. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?
68. In them will be Fruits, and dates and pomegranates:
69. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?
70. In them will be fair (Maidens), good, beautiful;-
71. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?-
72. Maidens restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;-
73. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?-
74. Whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-
75. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?-
76. Reclining on green Cushions and rich Carpets of beauty.
77. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?
78. Blessed be the name of thy Lord, full of Majesty, Bounty and Honor.

Why God's book cannot contain errors

1. God Revealed it

"Those who disbelieve in the Reminder when it comes unto them (are guilty), for indeed it is an unassailable Scripture. Falsehood cannot come at it from before it or behind it. (It is) a revelation from the Wise, the Owner of Praise" (Qur'an 41:41-42).
"Praise be to Allah* Who has revealed the Scripture unto His slave, and has not placed therein any crookedness (but has made it) straight" (Qur'an 18:1-2).
"Allah has (now) revealed the fairest of statements, a Scripture consistent" (Qur'an 39:23).
"A Qur'an in Arabic, containing no crookedness" (Q 39:28).

2. God Preserves it

God has promised to always preserve His book. He says:
"Surely We, even We, revealed the Reminder [the Qur'an], and We verily are it's Guardian." (Qur'an 15:9)
The Qur'an contains no additions. It remains today letter for letter as it was revealed over 1400 years ago. Nothing added, nothing taken away.
Two of the original manuscripts of the Qur'an prepared 1400 years ago still exist today. One is in the Topkapi Saray Museum in Istanbul, Turkey, and the other in Tashkent, Russia. Both of these are identical in content with the Qur'an available all over the world today.

3.You Can Examine it!

God says: "Will they not then consider the Qur'an with care? If it had been from other than Allah they would have found therein much discrepancy." (Qur'an 4:82)
Here God challenges people to find an error in the Qur'an. If it contains errors then it cannot be from God. If, on the other hand, it had been the production of a human being it would definitely contain errors. A human writer 1400 years ago would have written on the basis of the level of knowledge of his or her day. And many of those ideas would turn out to be false later as humankind learns more, especially in the field of science.

I say it's the spirit of what each doctrine represents that is important rather than each literal written word...If people remembered the spirit of the books they follow...then and only then would I say that any doctrine makes any sense!!!!!!!!!
