Can you be lonely and in a relationship?

Hi Blue
Yes on both counts...content in yourself to not be lonely when alone, but lonely when there's someone to share with who maybe doesn't.

Some of you won't like my answer, but here goes......

I am alone most of the time, but I am never lonely, because I know God is with me always.

I think sometimes we're only alone in a relationship if we choose to be.

I think if we choose to be lonely or alone it's our choice to do so.

I choose to be alone, single, but find myself continously in the company of others, so never lonely.

I was surrounded with peopla all the time a couple of decades ago, and remember being extremely lonely.

So yes, and yes.

Uhh, yes and yes. Lonely's got nothing to do with who's around you, it's what you have inside you.

Sure one can be lonely in a relationship. Especially where two people have total different interests and friends. Lonely and alone can be good depends on what you do with it.comfort

Just like everyone said:

You can be in a relationship and be lonely nevertheless. It's time to move on.

OR, you can be alone and not feel lonely. It's time to move on also wink

Unless you're in a healthy relationship, it would be rare if you didn't feel lonely.

Plus, I think you don't have to feel lonely being single either.

The thing is this: You only feel lonely, when you are not happy, no matter what relationship status you're in.

I am most alone when around others. And just because you are in a relationship...doesn't mean you are not lonely!!
