Okay, thanks for that. You know, I think I would grant that we're part of existence and that many if not all aspects of existence could affect our lives, but - and you knew there was a "but," didn't you, DD? - the problem is that the geomagnetic field would be but one of vastly numerous influences on our lives, no?

How would geomagnet fields compare in influence, for example, to DNA or basic things such as intrauterine health, conditions at birth, or even nursing versus non-nursing?

It seems that getting laid may even more problematic and complex than any of us suspected (unless one is so fortunate to be born under the sign of the great "Horn Dog"...?)

Astrology is almost as old as dirt. Earliest assessments (to my knowledge) were not only tied to planetary influences, but also to the energy of those planets. Its logical from my investigations, though how and why they assigned specific characteristics to each planet is still a mystery to me.

Recent discoveries in regard to 'an electric universe' would seem to bare out that 'energy' influence and personal experience with well schooled astrologists have proved it viable in accuracy to me. It is no easy task, to make predictions (given the plethura of influences) and everyday newspaper horoscopes tend to ruin the image of its viability.

Why women, more than men? My opinion would be that females in general have a more 'conceptual' view of life, more greys, not so much black and white and astrology to those who don't study it, has always had that 'conceptual' aura to it... like gods and other concepts or things we can't understand

Men generally tend to be linear, blacks and whites, evidence placed in correct order. Its why they tend to want to fix a problem for women when all the woman wants is a listening ear for the most part.

Why do serious discussions on CS always degenerate into sexual innuendo?

I've noticed that lots of women find astrology interesting or fun, even if they don't believe it offers fundamental truths. My impression is that much fewer men take it seriously. Assuming my impression is correct, does anyone have an explanation for that?

Also, I'm very curious how believers in astrology acquired this belief. Was it through a critical review of extant evidence and logical argumentation, or through other more intuitive evaluative processes?

I think it's fun to read and read it for purely entertainment purposes...However...a lot of the Libra traits are quite similar to my personality....The daily...weekly forecasts....I don't find all that believable...but they're fun to read!!!!!!!!!

It's valid in a personality profile sense. Psychologists use natal charts all the time. I don't believe it has any predictive capacity, however...
