Yesterday my son got attacked by the neighbors dog,

My older son came in the house hysterically saying his brother was being attacked by a dog.

So i grabbed the nearest object i could find on the way out of the house to make ground beef out of this dog,
but a passer by witnessed the attack and got out of his car and beat the shit out of the dog.
I`m glad to say my son ok, if i would gotten to this dog first i would have beaten this dog to death, so that this wouldn`t happen to any of the many kids that live on my block.
(Please don`t get the wrong ideal about me i love dogs i`ve had them all my life but i never taught them to be vicious)
There`s got to be some body here that agree`s with me,

You get in big shit in oz if your dog gets out and does stuff like that.

Your poor little boy, Hope he is ok.

I would have beat the crap out of it too. And I'm a dog lover, it's only a normal reaction that you wanted to protect your son.hug

Whoa! WA-AY not cool!! I have been nationally endorsed as an obedience instructor and have successfully competed in AKC conformation and obedience trials with my dogs and ones that I have trained. I also am trained as a dog groomer, and in that capacity have specialized in aggressive dogs. (Plus, we own a Pit Bull mix!!)

Therefore, I feel qualifed to say that there are FEW bad dogs (only those with organic damage) but far too many BAD OWNERS!!

Glad your son is all right!! handshake

thanks i`m glad he`s ok too, he`s up and around this morning it`s one thing to have an agressive dog but it`s another to be careless and let him get lose on a block of about 25 to 30 kids. when i was 12 yrs old it was my job to care for 15 dogs i did it for about 3yrs that meant feeding providing clean water and clean there crap and in the winter if i found out the temp was going to drop into the teens i would gather them up and put them in the basement for the night i still love dog despite what happend yesterday but if i see that dog attact one of my boys it`ll be a dead dog

I'm glad to hear your son is doing well after the dog attack. I do volunteer work at a local animal shelter - we get dogs that have been neglected and abused by their owners and therefore become vicious due to lack of training and care. We have a city ordinance which requires us to put down dogs that are considered "aggressive" breeds - they cannot be adopted out because of lack of information on their background. It is a shame that people feel they have the right to mistreat animals...and then animals become distrustful of humans and aggressive ....too bad you couldn't have found the owner and taken your anger out on him/her PLUS reported them to the proper authorities. I hope you were able to locate the animal and get animal control's help in getting this animal off the street and into proper care.

I called the cops on them and the police made them show the dogs records for shot and raybes he`s told them that he`s making a police report if this happends again within 90 days they would be cited and have to apear in court

Well, its was a matter of defending your son, so it wouldn't have been a horrible thing if you had killed the dog.

I'm gald that your son is fine! thumbs up
