But then again.... there isn't anything in the Grand River that is edible.
My favorite is catching stealhead out on Lake Michigan. It's so cool to watch 'em jump out of the water
when your trying to reel them in. It's been years since I've done that.

Everytime we have a good storm, there is a contact advisory for the Grand River. Thursday the News

man even said, "sorry folks, thats not a Baby Ruth in the water." barfing

I've driven around Lake Michigan many times and loved to take walks along the beach and climb the snad dunes. I've been to Grand Rapids many times as well.

Just be patient Alan you may find someone soon. You've got a super personality and a outstanding sense of humor.

You just need to get over some of your shyness.

My parents used to always say that good things come to those who wait.

All the men on both sides of my family fish and hunt too ,so I guess it''s in my blood and could explain why I love it so.

My father owned a 30.6 with a huge scope and my mom had a .22 and they'd take trips to the Upper Pensinula of Michigan to go deer hunting. Cause the way the laws were you couldn't shoot a 30.6 in the lower parts of Michigan.

I see you're from Michigan. I was born and lived in Michigan too, but unfortunately now I reside in Ohio but not by choice. I had to go where the jobs are.
It is nice when you're able to meet someone who enjoys some of the things you lke to do.

What do you do in Ohio??

I know the rivers in some cities are nasty places. I would never fish in the rivers.

Here in Ohio they've warned people not to eat the fish that comes out of the Ohio River because of the chances of mercury contamination.

I'm a sales clerk at one of the Meijer stores here in Cincinnati. I'm trying to carry on the family tradition cause my mother used to work for the one in Lansing, Mi.

Alan I couldn't begin to know how hard it's been for you to find someone who shares the joy of hunting and fishing. Nor will I tell you I know how you feel. It would be very wrong for me to tell you I know how you feel since I've never been in your situation.
I feel for you I really do.

If you ever need someone to just talk to or vent send me a message in my mailbox through this site and I'd be more then happy to talk to you.

Depending in what parts of the country you reside in it can get pretty darn cold.
