Memories.......

I just remembered the days when we were kids in Indianapolis. AN electric fuel pump was in the trunk with a 25' hose to the input side and a tube from the output to the gas tank..

At night (and at times during the day) we would park over the gas dumps and drop the hose and and flip the switch. alas!!!!! A full tank of gas, no charge (to us)..devil

uh oh!

want to save? get a moped... although they are embarrassing and i will never personally drive one, in aus they only cost $10 bucks to fill up and my bro (who drives his a lot) uses a tank once every 4 days. Plus I don't know about the US but in Aus you can have any type of license to drive these... even a tractor hahah

Cute,Our price of gas now gives new meaning to car pooling,

Just drive the car into a pool and walk.

We now see wind turbines in a lot of fields to generate electricity.
why couldn't we do this with cars....

Electric cars with the mini windmills on top!

Now this is a really great idea, all one needs to do then is park on a hill.

Personally I just put a couple pails of 1 inch pebbles in my gas tank.
Now I can fill 'er up for just a couple bucks(and maybe a little doe too!)grin

No car + public transportation (where available) plus friends vehicles. Hang a $5 on a fishing pole and set it in front of the car, and you'd be surprised how far your buddy will go trying to catch it ;)

Of course, didn't work out to well today. No ride to work.. *sigh* Should've trade the $5 up for a $10 :P

- When driving on the highway roll your windows up and use the ac (less drag)
- Upgrade your car intake and exhaust to something less restrictive than stock to increase air flow through the engine to make it work less to provide the same power
- Change the Air filter when recommended
- Makes sure your tires are at their proper tire pressure (don't know what that is ask your mechanic)
- Avoid "gas saver" fuel additives
