Depending on the age of the party we are talking,will assume over 30,I would have to say that it would invole alot of emotion work,and if one is not cut out to or ready to deal with all that would come with it,it would be a good idea to think twice before acting.

I think it's a mental state being a virgin over 30, that would be hard to deal with. I'd have to know the reasons why he had wanted to stay this way, or was it that he just never made the effort to try to get laid. Was there some aberation that contributed. Does/did he think sex was dirty etc. Is/was he excessively shy? Does/did he think people would know what he was doing and does he care what people think? Is/was he ocd and looking for perfection before indulging? Is/was he phobic about being naked or having close contact with another human being?

Let's face it, it's not exactly normal by today's societial standards for this to happen. It would ring alarm bells for me.
