Yes, my son (who is 41 in 3 more days) has been taking care of me since I lost my job last year. Then I went thru some health problems. Now I'm looking for a job again and he's telling me to only find part-time & he will help me with whatever I need. God certainly blessed me when He gave me this child.

It also shows what kind of parent you were Anne. thumbs up

I see people sometimes who kids wouldn't even come near them.. and when you listen to some of the stories you realise WHY.

I have two boys... one will be joining the military next year and the other will be living with me forever...out of necessity (he has Aspergers and is not progressing, instead he is almost regressing at times) and the fact that he just plain wants to, lol! I do hope that when I do come to need help that my oldest will be there for me...he already takes care of me when I'm having lupus flareups (he makes sure I rest and take it easy during those times...he won't let me lift a finger, lol). I imagine that when the time does come, he will be there for me

My oldest son is also Aspergers.

I moved in with my daughter when I got evicted from my apartment and had no where to go. It worked both ways I help her with the grandkids and she helps by giving me a place to stay. I still want to move on my own again, but with the cost of rents I just cannot afford to live on my own and would need roomates anyway. I got evicted as I was living in a one bedroom apartment and I allowed my other daughter and her baby to move in with me when her place got broken into and she had a knife taken to her throat but the landlady said I was overhoused and we got evicted.
