LadyBtyBoop: I would like to interject here, if I may. You see, I am one of the "older" women. I am 61, but to me, it's just a number. I spent 20 years of marriage with a man that is 19 years younger than I. And, now that I am on these dating sites, it is wierd how, so many times, a younger man, and I am talking in their 20's, 30's and 40's, will contact me. I, personally, find men my age, and older, are a turn off to me, as they act "old", and I may be older, but that is just a number to me. I think in this day and age, age should not be such a big thing. Why is it, that an old man, can carry on with a young woman, and they say "Way to go." but if I am with a younger man, I am called a "cougar." And, I am supposed to act my age. Well, I am not old, I am just chronilogically challenged! And, I am not giving up on having some fun, as long as I feel like it!
Im one of the older women too, Im 54 (n a half

) The age thing isnt really an issue for me at all, its was just that I had been noticing, over the months, that some of the mens profiles state that they are only looking for younger - I found this odd cos there are threads all the time about younger guys prefering older women - wasnt criticising, simply wondering and that was based on my own upbringing when the accepted norm was younger woman/older man. For myself, the age is secondary to the personality............
I really admire that you kept it together for so long with your partner and doubt that I would have your wonderful confidence

I knew a couple once who stayed together for something like 30 yrs and she was something like 25 yrs older than him and have known a few with ten(ish) yrs difference too - Im all for it and long may you continue to have fun, lots of it too
