I would like to interject here, if I may. You see, I am one of the "older" women. I am 61, but to me, it's just a number. I spent 20 years of marriage with a man that is 19 years younger than I. And, now that I am on these dating sites, it is wierd how, so many times, a younger man, and I am talking in their 20's, 30's and 40's, will contact me. I, personally, find men my age, and older, are a turn off to me, as they act "old", and I may be older, but that is just a number to me. I think in this day and age, age should not be such a big thing. Why is it, that an old man, can carry on with a young woman, and they say "Way to go." but if I am with a younger man, I am called a "cougar." And, I am supposed to act my age. Well, I am not old, I am just chronilogically challenged! And, I am not giving up on having some fun, as long as I feel like it!

You are only as old as you think you are...now that is a compliment. Be as you will...come as you are...it's the only way.

Ive noticed when looking at guys profiles that quite a few of you still prefer to go for nobody older than themselves and in some cases up to maybe 5 or so yrs younger - whats this about? My own preference is sort of the same age give or take maybe 5 yrs or so - Im not into the toy boy thing but am just trying to understand this attitude of 'definitely not older'

I agree 100%

I once went out with a 19 yr old on a date and it was a lot of fun. I thought he was 27 though. He looked it. I was 41 at the time.

hi Trishwave

It's really surprising how many younger women have e-mailed me. I tell them I am too old for them. They say they like older men. Then I have to be rude and say "..I don't like younger women"

Ok, tell us more about this...like the sexing part...and the connection part. Was the age not that big of a factor cause this dude was a bit wise beyond his years? Or were you just using him for some excerciserolling on the floor laughing

The funs the thing isnt it - sod all the social rules and regulations - if it doesnt hurt anybody then its nobody elses business daisy

Thats an odd one isnt it - some people seem much older than their actual years and some who have the years can be so juvenile laugh This is why I was wondering at the rigidity of some of the preferences - Zee made a good point though when he said it was cos he wanted to have children.......

wow! and here you are debating with me that they're just ideals that don't happen in real life.. laugh

I've said it before, I'll never understand a woman's ability to hold contradictory sides in the same hand, and each one emphatically as if they belong together. confused
