I got this e-mail from a guy who is just passing through Edmonton in 4 days and wants to meet for coffee.

The thing is in his profile he wants a petite slim female, which I am not, so why is he e-mailing me as I do not meet any of the things he says he wants.

I have asked him this and have not heard back, but should I go and meet someone who I have had no communication with before this.

Yes I did rethink this and decided to not meet him. I am nothing like what his profile says so still do not know why he would even ask to meet me, especially since he never even e-mailed before this.

and then the senses, and gut feelings took over, and she came back to the real world, and lived happily ever after.

great choice. I was reading every post on this thread, but stopped to give my 2 cents upon reading you were not going to go through with it. Public place or not, this guy had just started emailing you, and on first mail says " hey meet me?" give me a break?

Yeah, that was hilarious. Anybody know where I can buy one? As overly trusting as I am I may need one someday! So far I've been lucky!

TY MF, I thought I was the only one!

I just got chewed out in an email for having an opinion, and called a liar! D'oh! FFS, he doesn't know me well enough to say whether I'm lying or not!

I didn't call anyone out for having a different opinion from me, and some of them have valid points. dunno Just wanted to share my recent experience.

Kitty, if you don't feel comfortable with it, don't go. The decison is entirely yours. And if you do go, be SAFE!

hug Love ya hon.

rolling on the floor laughing I gotta remember that one!

I'm scared to even tell most of my friends that I've met men online. My best friend for 20 years knows, and my daughter, other than that I tell them it's a friend of a friend. It's not that I'm ashamed of it, I'm just not into being judged and having to explain myself. uh oh! It's noboby's business anyways. sticking out tongue

No I am not meeting him this time, but we are going to talk more and maybe on his way through here again we will meet then. He said he just wanted to meet people, and was just looking through pictures and saw mine.
