House Interior
Hyderabad, India

The houses were mostly mud structures with thatched roofs. Inside the one or two room structures it was quite dark due to one of the frequent power failures. There is generally a cooking area to the left, and a small shrine area to the right of the entrance. Several people live in each home, and they sleep on mats placed on the dirt floors.

You will find this in " villages " all over the country. Some have very bad conditions such as these and some are worse .. many are better ..

Its not the same in cities .. though there do exist slums even today.

Sorry Ship i am tired of apologizing .. i have clarified again and again .. Hyderabad .. i had the perception you were talking of the city Hyd .. i also added i have no clue where he lived .. plus i might be wrong cos i said what i did from how much i know of Hyd.

This is a village and it is true in villages around the country.

Even after clarifying and apologizing .. you wish to be offended .. i will leave it here.

It is common for
between one-quarter and one-half of the population in Indian cities to
have inadequate or no provision for sanitation, mostly those living in
slums.(4)

COMMUNITY TOILET BLOCKS
The space around the public toilets often
becomes heavily used for open defecation which, in turn, produces a very
large health burden and contributes to high infant and child death rates.
Toilet blocks also become places where household wastes are dumped,
since communities often have no garbage collection. Women suffer most
from having no accessible and safe toilet. To protect their modesty, they
often wait until nightfall to defecate in the open – but this need to wait
until dark also causes widespread gastric disorders.

I am not "pushy" I haven't said a word to "the girl" If I had...I am sure she could handle it herself and not need you to help.

I seriously doubt Hyderabad is better than anything else in the world. Please don't ask for perception if you only want praise for your country!!thumbs down

Thats the keyword !

Its not that i am patriotic so will cover up for anything .. but there really are ace places .. now just like these conditions exist in villages and slums .. there are better conditions and real posh too.

So its not just this or that.

I've travelled to villages in Pakistan that were
2/3 days walk from the nearest roadhead.
The places in these photographs are almost
palacial by comparison, i mean there's even
a tv.wow!
What i can tell you though, is the people i met
were totally happy and content with what they
had, and were more than willing to look after
me, feed me and care for my well being.
Wealth and riches can come in different guises.

When I was looking for pictures the only ones that were plush were of hotels where they are advertising for you to stay when you visit. The rooms in these hotels were great and had good tolits. I want to find what the everyday person has.

Have nothing against the people, I am sure they are kind and would help anyone who was at their place, I was talking about living conditions not the people involved.

your approval of me means nothing!! I always say if you don't want the answer, don't ask the question!!

Plus...you did not accept my views! I was told that it was "impossible" referring to my description of Suri's apt. That is tantamount to calling me a liar.
