Easier said then done...

Being shy..fear of something or what have you is very hard to overcome it...

I would never ask a guy out...

Its not me...

I have fear of airplanes...Do you think i can over come that..

Maybe???

but not likely...

People do come down on one being shy...

Well God gave us all of these emotions for a reason...

I kind of like a person to be shy..and not all out there....

best to you my dear

Do you think it might be possible that God gave you these emotions so that you could learn the power of overcoming them?

Just because you HAVE an emotion doesn't mean you have to LIVE with that emotion.

Have you EVER liked someone & wished they would notice you because your fear of rejection or shyness held you back from saying hi?

I bet everyone has.

I know from experience that it hurts too and I don't want to ever think again, "I wonder if we could've......."

Every day i'm going to try something out of my comfort zone and at the end of my life i'm gonna look back and (hopefully) say, "I tried everything I wanted to, I have no regrets"

No i dont care of rejection..why should i???

I am shy and i dont mind that...

As i said..I would rather have a shy man then someone all out there....

But i dont have to worry becos i have a man now..

He is shy of some things and some things not..

I have never regretted at all not stepping up becos of my shyness and didnt get the guy..

Well, you have to understand, Josh...some of us women (like you apparently) are too "shy" so to speak to be so upfront and forward as to ask a man out...I know I am that way...I have never been able to ask a man out, I'm a chicken

Wise words .................... living life is an action.

Its something that I'm trying to work on myself - and if you saw where I came from - I've come along way - but still have many miles to travel in discovering and truly learning to love who I am. I'm on the road-trip of my life - the journey has had pit stops and a few flat tires - but overall its been an enriching experience. I'm enjoying the scenery along this journey.

Good story Josh, I have done like you said, tried to seize the day so to speak, but nothing ever seems to come out of it..sigh there is always a problem, because of this or that, I mean what the h*ll are we here for if not to find that special someone, excluding the ones that are just here for the forums, and those that are already taken..

dunno

I think that if we make an honest attempt to get to know someone without expectation or design then we can truly say we did not fail to seize the day.

If at the very least you make a new friend then your life is richer.

If your attempt fails and you receive a polite 'no' then you will at least know where you stand.

Keep trying, positive thoughts & positive actions bring about a positive lifestyle!

cheers

Agreed, always like to make new friends, but it would be nice to gain something else, but not going to try to hard anymore, if it happens it happens.. cheers

UPDATE:

I have stepped out of my comfort zone & told a certain lady I find her attractive smile

She has commended me for my bravery & wants to get to know me better! applause yay

Who knows where it will lead, I am ever hopeful.

At the very least I will know I did not fail to try & I took my opportunity to seize the day smile
