That's good to hear that she's taking an interest and hopefully they'll have a strong healthy relationship.

As for myself - I live by myself with my cat and dog and then a couple of days a week I get to have my grandson come and stay with me.

Before I got married I lived by myself and loved it. I went out and did things and if I wanted to stay on the couch all day I could. Now I live with my daughter and I wouldn't change it. When she goes to her dad I look at it as a mini vacation and I can stay on the couch all day if I want to. The silence never has bothered me when I'm on my own.

Thank God I don't have any animal.
I have dog and a lot of problems when she was in heat. She very liked dogs so she often run away.
I have guinea pig and he had stomach trouble he had wind colic and I went with him very often to veterinary to gave him injection. He died.

Now I have free mind and I care only for people.

I live alone part-time. I am seperated, so about 2 days out of the week my estranged spouse comes to visit. I hate being alone. I'm not afraid, but up here in the mountains, it can get pretty quiet and it makes me uneasy to think some deranged fugitive might be roaming around and happen upon my place.....Yep, I watch way too many scarey and physcotic movies..

I understand, sometimes silence in my home is like in movie before something terrible action - only thing I hear is my breath and crunching floor.
