thewall2: Learn proper form of the squat,deadlift,and benchpress,if you're gonna eventually go heavy.Buy a good belt for back support,eat lots of protein.Start small on your big 3 lifts,and gradually increase weight.Exercise secondary muscles.Train 3 to 4 days max on a 9 day cycle,and nost importantly,have a partner or somebody spot you if you're gonna lift heavy or your MAX.Find a gym that supports POWERLIFTING.........NOT many do.
Most gyms don't want POWERLIFTERS or OLYMIC WEIGHTLIFTERS....because quote unquote,I've been told from a few of the owners of gyms I've gotten to know,it imtimidates the little people.
