I have google tool bar installed but it does not show up on top. It used to be there and disappeared, tried unstalling and restalling but still will not show up. Does anyone know why. I miss my spell check.

If you install the Firefox Browser you will have the Googlebar and can get a Spellchecker Plug-inconversing wave

Kitty, what browser are you using, is it Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox (FF) or something else?

For both IE and FF select the View menu, followed by Toolbars, and from here select the Google toolbar.

did that but the google is not highlighted so cannot select. This is IE and Vista

IE is faced this problem sometimes. i also faced this situation and i downloaded FF with google toolbar. sometimes IE strucks and NOt responding message also appeares.

i think it might be affected by a virussigh

Kitty, try the following:

In IE click Tools followed by Manage Add-ons. Select Enable or Disable Add-ons, then look for Google toolbar, which should be in the disabled list, then the select enable.

You then need to restart your browser and you should have your Google toolbar

thanks that worked, do not know how it got disabled, just disappeared one day.

Note: go to microsoft and see if others have had this same problem, with VISTA. I seem to remember a complaint about this and others about VISTA. I have had to go through my friend's computers line by line b/c VISTA does some wierd**** (groan)teddy bear teddy bear teddy bear sad flower laugh laugh
