Never been in along distance relationship but if I truely loved that person there would be no ocean long or wide enough to keep me from him.

Depends on your definition of "work." It can, but not permanently long distance, in my experience anyway. Who knows though, my experience might not have worked as long as it did if he'd lived next door. dunno

It did not for me...and that is all I'm saying...thumbs down But I do agree with Bev...permanently it definitely won't but who knows, it might work on a very temporary basis dunno

Was in a long distance relationship for over a yr. Went through a lot with him. We are not together so in that sense it did not work out , but he is still my best friend. So that relationship worked out! Wouldn't change it for the world! Sometimes you just gotta jump and worry about the ground later. If you met a girl that took you seriously if ya'll both truly wanted a relationship and truly hit it off ? The sky is the limit!

See, now that's my idea of working. Though I can't say mine and I are still best friends, since he decided to stop calling me,mumbling but it worked for the time, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world! applause

i wouldnt date anyone that lives a long distance from me,
when you love someone you want to be near them and its not gonna be easy if you are from a different city/country,
i wouldnt leave my family for a man or take my kids away from their dad to live with a guy in a far away place,,
but i think it can work well for some people but they gotta be prepared to take the risk

I think so too... my ex actually called me this morning to let me know how his kids and wife ( a girl I called my sister) were doing she is prego and they are expecting twins! Crap happens! Things don't work out and sometimes they do ! I took the chance and ended up with one of the most important people in my life! You are not with your ex but you still have the memories and experience! It makes it all worth it!

by the way long distance relation are just lies....lol.

Wow thats not nice to say...

Not all relationships end in divorce..

Mind parents are still married and been 45 years...

Its has nothing to do with long distance or close to where you live....

Its all about working hard to keep things alive...

Too many people are to negative on this relationship thing...

what do you expect if you are negative and going into a new relationship...DUH..its not going to work

Hello, what do you mean by Family???

By being with the man you love..Wont you be starting another Family???

For Me i would leave everything to be with the man i love...

and for the Dad thing..Their dad left...and went away from the kids...

So Love wins hands down...

I will do everything i can in my power to be with him...

So later on in life i dont look back and regret anything...

I just think to many people give up way to easily on LOVE

I agree with you completly! I know several people that have had long distance relationships and them work out! Its about the people and the effort! Negative experiences while sad should be gained from! All people are different there for all relationships will be different!

como vai, todos, i was just wondering if anyone had ideas about the above question, i am brasilian but raised in germany and now live in the us in arizona, there is nothing wrong with american girls but i relate better with european girls(as far as talking about art, culture, poetry, cinema) and i really have a thing for british girls(dont ask!). i work for an airlines and fly to the uk quite often and ive lived in europe most of my life so relocating would be no problem for me if i found a special girl to share my life with. Is it impossible ? would no woman take someone from a far distance seriously? Now i seem to have no problem getting messages from older sugar mamas from the uk,but seriously im not that kind of guy(im not just a piece of latin meat, lol). but would a girl my age have anything to do with me or is the distance too much? Ciao,Tschuss, wiedersehen, Obrigado!

well speaking from experience, they dont work. i fell in love with someone wh loved me back so it seems and then he just let me go. we were 1000 miles apart. good luck
