Im very new to online dating and i figured it was only for other people,but i decided to try it out anyway. In the span of a few weeks,i turned from bright eyed and positive to cold and cynical, i think the ratio of men to women is vast,in favor of the women. Now im no male model but i think i look decent, in great shape and fairly interesting but none of that matters as the women have such a vast pool of prospective suitors that unless you meet every little criteria that they have you have no chance! and even if you do its still 50/50 because someone cuter might come along and all you will be is a fuzzy memory. Now i understand with women even if you are remotely attractive you will get hundreds of messages and its hard to answer all of them(although you could probably weed out the pervs,weirdos and creeps)it might be nice to answer the articulate,witty ones with a no thank you please, what i dont understand is if you send a message out,saying i like your profile,why would you not answer back to someone you sent a message to!(unless you are an employee of the website posing as a person to generate interest). I have come to a point where i dont even care about finding love, how about just friendship,but that also seems impossible. I honestly think sometimes that half of the profiles are not even of real people. Now saying that I will continue to use this site because its free and the people in the forum seem like real,honest and interesting people. I hope to god im wrong about this but i dont think i am. hey,sxc, just a quick question, does it irritate women on the forums when random guys(usually unattractive) pop up with innuendos that have nothing to do with the discussion?

Ok, Look at it like this and this is a fact of life. You will fall in love. The other person will aslo fall in love with you. But It takes living and learning to find the one that will last until the day you die. Some people get lucky most dont. Ask yours self why is it that 50% get divorced. They jump into what they think is love. I've been there jumped to soon. We all want it fast. but It will find you when your not ready. And thats when it kicks ass.

the man im flirting with has a girl on the forums ,i send him a mail ,he shows it to his gal ,then i get warned off even tho i didnt know

there is a man in the forums flirting with me ,but in fear of being warned off i keep back only to find out later he was single ?,
this is what gets to me the most ,i wish everyone would just wear a sign that said "single and flirtable" then i think id get the hang of this saying that tho ,iv met some great and some fantastic people in the forums thats why i stay
