Due to nuts..............

Posted: Jul 19, 2008, 7:57 AM CST
it makes it hard for a man with sense to be able to be himself. I often give compliments to others because they deserve them or saying something about themselves I consider wrong and bad for them to believe. The problem is you have nuts come after you or the ones you compliment thinks you are a nut. The latter then shys away from you and you lose a friend.

I know the danger in someone saying something bad about themselves. It desroys the self esteem little by little or in hugh chucks.....this leads to depression and even further. So I will tell a person the truth in a compliment knowing I will lose a friend in the process......but it does hurt when it happens. sigh

Peoples minds are so full of bad thoughts about others without proof. it reminds me of a story!

A man has a flat without a jack.

He thinks, "I saw a house a little ways back, I'll go borrow a jack. They will lend it to me because people are nice around here."

He walks. "I don't know why they wouldn't loan me a jack...I'm honest."

He walks. " I am a damn good fellow and i have never stolen a damn thing. I'm going to need that jack in spite of what they think of me."

He walks and gets to the door of the house.

He knocks and a man comes to the door.

He says,"Look you evil minded piece of sh*t, if you have a damn car jack......stick it up your damn ass."

You are one of the funniest, sweetest and kindest men on here, anyone who takes a compliment the wrong way from you, just doesn't know you very well.

Isn't that the way it always turns out...%D Your story is like the old Gary Larson cartoon from his Far Side series of Tarzan meeting Jane for the first time: he is swinging along on the vines over to Jane's perch in a tree; his thoughts are: "Okay, "How do you do. My name is Tarzan and I believe you are known as Jane."
"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle. And you....You must be Jane...I am Tarzan. It's a pleasure to meet you." He finally lands on the large branch that Jane is standing on fixing her hair. "There she is!" "ME TARZAN! YOU JANE!" "Ooops", he thinks, "Damn..."
Sometimes our rehearsals to be positive gets screwed by our 'brain speak', no matter what...%D

If they do that then they were never a friend in the first place. Friends understand you and know you well enough to understand that when you say something, it is for their good.

I don't know if this makes sense or not but.... one of my brothers told me one time to think of people that you know as pictures in a photo album.

Keep those that you feel close to and discard the ones you don't.
