Well, the pages seem to turn smoothly, not that much lag, and the mail system seems to deliver, I would have to say yes.... it works.... innocent

To the OP.... it depends on what you mean by "does it work"?? It does connect singles, yes. It brings so many of its members together, not just in the romantic sense, I have met some fabulous people and remain in touch with many of them.....

We have fun on the Forums, there are get-togethers and, yes, we have engagements and marriages.

I think you'll find, not just in comparison with other sites, but on its own merits, this is the best site around and is held in high regard by its members.

Like everything else, it works if you work it. I've met some nice guys here, nothing permanent obviously, but not sure I'm even ready for permanent. So yeah, it's working for me. I've made tons of friends on here I wouldn't have otherwise, and had lots of fun. Online and IRL.
