Every discussion list craves "fresh blood," but the simple fact is that that not everyone - in fact, most people - don't enjoy participating much in forums. I've often wondered what the difference is between people who enjoy such participation and people who don't...the only answer I've arrived at is that some people enjoy interaction with a variety of individuals (gee, isn't that perceptive). Others just like to hear themselves talk.

I think you'll find that the number of people who actively participate in these forums won't change significantly regardless of how much CS pushes them. The existence of the forums have plenty of exposure on CS, so I believe the people who like this kind of interaction have and will continue to find their way here. My prediction is the number of participants won't change much...but even one or two new individuals (I'm thinking most recently of the arrival of Stressfree) can change the dialogue here for the better.

On our CS menu bar we have one labeled 'Forum Posters', try that one; It seems that 90% of those people have not and have never posted on the Forums....makes one wonder what the purpose is; while those who do post, most are not on there at all...bizarre.

We have recently held an event in Malta.....I took the initiative to email about 50 of the first profiles that came up as "most recently online", men and women, telling them about the event and to check the Forum thread......now here's the thing.....MOST of those people had NO idea what the forums were....I wrote back telling them they were missing 50 % of the power and fun of being here....and I had to give them a detailed description of how to access the Forums...

C'mon CS....you can do better than this....advertising pays, doesn't it??..

I think we are the entertainment here...the ongoing soap opera.

Perhaps all the real dating goes on outside the forums
