and what about the other way aroung, the good girl gets screwed over by the guys who she gives of herself to! I thank god havent become a bitter old hag yet

I hear ya gigi, that's why I don't ask if there are any good women around. I know there are. And I also know that alot of the time they are withdrawn because of how they have been used and treated before. I did not mean to sound one sided on this. I'm glad to hear you haven't become bitter. There's a difference between a good guy, and a nice guy.

A good guy isn't always nice, especially when he's getting walked on...

A nice guy...gets walked on...over and over and over again..

A good guy empowers himself to get up off the floor, not retaliate, but not stick around for more abuse, either...

And yes, he doesn't get bitter. Bitter is a waste of time.

Let me also say that I am not without guilt in my life.... I am a free thinker and make my own choices. just so happens in a few cases my choices were NOT good ones. By any stretch of the imagineation, please don't feel sorry for me. I am a survivor and everything I have done to myself I have come out with a new lesson learned.....

see the exact same thing as well. I decided not to cave either. I think this happens to many without a conscious thought, though the hurt remains.
