Yes, it seems quite serious, he was attempting
Disteghil Sar, at 7885m/25869ft which has only
had a couple of successful summits.
The area he is in, Shimshal in the Hunza valley
is very remote with extremely difficult terrain.
Ben is eight days overdue now but if he is well
kitted out and I assume he must be, there is
still hope.

BTW, the area in my pic is very close to the Hunza valley.
