I think it is good to be up front about children, especially if they are present and influence your life.

wave Barnagie I have it posted right on my profile. It is not something to be hidden. It is something you should be proud of. Especially single dads. If they do not like it move on to the next one. wink

I have it in my profile, I think it is best, there are those that dont go for kids, I have them like it or not, when looking for someone you have to take this into account, if they have kids its a package deal, also you have to rember if they have kids the childern will always come first for them, like it or not, thats the way it is. this caused some problems in my last relationship. but my childern are the greatest thing to come from it.

It's the first thing I tell about myself. My daughter is 15, lives with me, and is the number 1 priority in my life. If I have to wait till she is grown to find happiness with a woman, then so be it.

Right off! My kids come 1st in my life, at the moment. They give me lots of joy. If you can't handle that, I feel sorry for you. Most will say that their kids come 1st. I'm still waiting for that someone to cut in.professor

When I date someone, that's usually the first thing I tell them. (The fact that I have children, is in my profile, actually. lolol) Maybe that's why I don't get many flowers, eh??crying rolling on the floor laughing

I don't tell stories about the children b/c I'm so happy to have adult company, I want to have adult conversations. dancing banana

However, I do let my date know that I have children. There's no sense in wasting his time.

I figure, why waste our time getting to know someone if they have no interest in children. My children are part of this package, so I might as well be honest. wine cheers

Letting them know upfront you have kids, is a must! really if you think about it it shows that you own up to your obligation and that you are a man, (or women) that you have your priorities in order. Your kids are a part of you! as far as boring someone with them, you can tell them you have kids and say there great or to the likes of that, and you can draw a line as to how much to talk about them. you don't have to make them the only thing you talk about or pull out a thousand photos. But do let them know that with you comes kids! if there going to be a prospect for sending the rest of your life with them then they are going to want to know all about you including the extension of you that is running around in the back ground. If your having a one night stand, no need to bring kids into that!

I like to know up front so I can get a running start..... kidding, I love kids. Maybe because I have none of my own and it allows me to act childish without looking like a total idiot.
