...The day you were to die, and you had lots of money.. But no children nor relatives.. What would you do first, spend it all to your country, give to charity, give to your most beloved love ( but only ex-ones) give to your church. Or you would want do spend it all, to become famous. Or you would want to freeze your body, untill medical science would invent something that, maybe, you would have a chance to relive your body ? grin

I'm kind of in that boat now. I have money, but I don't have any relatives, I am the last in line.

I would say I would probably give it all away. My will currently does that, but rather than straight cash, I have it set for a couple of charities to receive the money that I live on year to year, and I have 4 1-million dollar life policies that I set up 4 charities as the beneficiaries.

Interesting idea but you know there will no doubt be an
innovative solution very soon, there always is.

They can now freeze people for the future and recently a very
rich man in Australia contracted to have his ashes flown to
the moon of all places. but I hope they wait until he is dead.

So from sublime to the ridiculous, then what's to stop some
smart business man from marketing a special travellers cheque
that they would of course claim that you could take with you??D'oh!

Ahha what a great business idearolling on the floor laughing I am a genious devil

I was pretty much married to my career. Now I am not, but live in a small town where the only people who are around are either too young, already married, or not ladies that I would be comfortable taking home to see my mom if she were still alive. I was close to marriage once, but that was while I was still in college a LONG time ago.

by the way, that was (4) 1 million dollar policies, and an insurance is a lot different than 41 million in the bank. If I had that, you are right, I would just buy my own single's site. peace

A rich man dies and meets St. Peter at the Pearly Gates. He is very wealthy, but he's been faithful and kind and St. Peter tells him, “Good news—you’re in!” But the man is sad because he loves his beautiful home and all his wonderful possessions and he thinks he’s going to miss them. So he asks if he can bring one bag of his stuff with him into heaven. St. Peter says that it’s against policy (you can’t take it with you, after all) but he feels sorry for the man. So he says, “Okay, you can bring one sack of your treasures with you, but only one sack.”

So the man returns to his estate and looks at all of his elegant and expensive things. He has a hard time deciding what to bring. Finally, he goes to his safe where he has hidden several solid gold bars. He thinks that these gold bricks are his favorites . . . he worked so hard to get them and they were his security when the economy was bad. So he stuffs them into the sack and carries them back to heaven. The path is steep and the gold is very heavy, but he eventually appears before St. Peter, tired and sweaty, dragging his sack.

St. Peter asks him if he can take a peek at what’s in the bag. The man proudly opens it and St. Peter looks in. Then bewildered and incredulous, St. Peter looks at the man and says, “Pavement? You brought pavement?!”

Well If I didn't have children or relatives to leave it to, I would find a very deserving family or more to give it to.
As far as charities, too much of the money goes into administrations pockets, in my opinion.
I think it would do more good to help a few families out right.cheering
