I don't get that.

I'm like:

"Honey, I feel fat, tell me I'm pretty and kiss me"

or

"Sweetheart, I want you to take me on a date on friday and give me a nice present, like this pair of shoes I have left a picture of with the size number and adress of the store on the table - and when I act surprised about it, you don't say something stupid like "But you told me to buy them" or something!"

or how about

"When you look down other women's cleavages it makes me want to kill you and leave you in a dusin different states. Could you please stop doing that when I'm around?"--- What is there NOT to understand?

But you know, since I can't do anything about my looks I really do feel it's the man's responsibility to live with the way I look.

I understand it can be tough at times, but is it really that hard when the girl (me!) replies: "Sorry, my man here is the best for me and besides he can give me an orgasm in 3 minutes, so why don't ya just go sit back with ya buddies again or somethin' pumpkin?"

I mean, would it still be intimidating if the woman knew how to turn the guys down?

I think it's your own self esteem problem, thinking you are not the best man for her...

I understand what you are saying, but is it hard to just say "I'm seeing someone."

I believe that is a woman on her own feels she wants to see someone else she is free to, but I hope she lets me know first. I don't own her, so I won't stop her.

I know another woman will come along that I can connect with, so I have no fear.

But you made it sound like you expected her to find someone else... Someone "better". I've dated guys who feared that, but even though I supported them I always told them the problem was not my looks, but their own self esteem.

I've dated guys that others found ugly, but I found them sexy. Not all pretty people are superficial or looking for "someone better" when they dig what they already have.

I apologize for not being clear.

A lack of confidence is is something I don't have. I do know some guys that feel that way. The false fear of having your heart broken. Even for me it hurts, but if the woman I am seeing isn't happy now I figure soon I won't be happy so it is better for her to tell me so we can move on. That doesn't mean that I don't care. I still give every relationship everything I have. Sometimes the chemestry just isn't long term.

I think there is too much artifice and game playing when people grow up to adulthood. If we were all kids we'd just say I like you , do you like me? and be told in no uncertain terms if we were liked or not. Then move on. I think too many things unsaid are what keep people apart.

Well maybe I'm still a kid at heart sometimes but I still do that, just tell someone I like them and if they say they don't feel that way or lets just be friends, then it is so easy to move on to the next person. Less recriminations and months of dreaming and guessing and wondering wasted. Life is too short for some stuff.
