Rather than if I do or do not have a bible,
I have had various books of belief from all around the world.
Some in their native language, some that have been translated... some that are almost all pictures.
It's an interesting experience to view & compare them.

Humans are such intriguing creatures.

Id like to see a poll for the people that have one asking “who actually reads it” I know a lot of people that profess undying faith but have yet to read the Bible with the exception of the passages read out in the church (that is when they bother to go to)rolling eyes

No, I don't.

Someone once gave me one as a present. It went straight to the local charity shop along with the other books I've been given as presents that I don't believe in (Cross- stitch & Cookery)

I have my Feng Shui and Astrology bibles though professor

I have a copy of an Ancient Greek old testament, before it went into conversation by the King James one. Makes interesting reading when compared to the modern version, but is rather hard going.

Yeah but, as long as God is in your heart, he doesn't care if you can recite the bible front and back...it's your tool in your time of need to understand his word and his love....

i have a number of them
amplified, a study, a teaching, aconcordance/dictionary

i mean it is the best selling book of all time.

i also have the gnostics and many spiritual texts

i do read and teach the bible regularly

i believe in seeing out the similarities and not the differences.

many christians take exception with me as i believe a whole bunch of "the plan" , which it clearly says in the bible-is NONE OF MY BUSINESS-
but god's alone
and therefore i do believe christ was human and divine and did have the ability to die for me-and did-in absolute love
i dont have that ability-
maybe in a moment of an accident-for my kid-
im pretty sure i couldnt go willingly-LOL

but i also believe that God is so far above-so much broader than we can conceive of - -he is of such an emotionally evolved make-up i think-
meaning-i think possibly many many people that didnt choose jesus as their 'way' will still be 'there' in the end.

im just really committed to what im doing today-
not who is gonna be abandoned tomorrow...dunno
its just not my business

yes i am charged to share 'the good news' but thats not the same as prosyletizing
and i know fer sure arguing points is not pleasing to jesus.
we were never commanded to make part of that journey an intellectual exercise or game of one-up manship between other christians or anyone!

i do believe we have been invited into a relationship-and therein lies the growth rewards-the peace and peaceful attraction he had.

its about a relationship
religion after christs coming was denounced-period
relationship and working as a body to care for others needs-thats the deal. love god, love your neighbor-thats the crux-the rest comes thru those committments-

as for me i never falter
grin D'oh!
