People are going to stay home for 2 days? They can't stand to stay home for 2 hours. I wish you luck.

Hope it works Buffy, wish that we could make a difference. Pretty soon people will not be able to afford to even drive.

No no, I understand people can't stay home for 2 days... jsut fill up for what you need before theose days and not get anymore 'till after those 2days... only go where you need to or want.... I think it could work if we all try, there's ways around everything, all you got to do is look for it lol, just get what you need before

so true froggy, we're american's and our kind are ripping US off, it's not fair or right they're doing it all in the sake of $$, we could go on strike to and let it be known because of gas prices, pickett lines.... there's a link to the white house where you can rigt the president dircetly or it'll get to him at least once the others read it: comments@whitehouse.gov I've started a letter but not been able to finish it... plan to tonight though..... so go for it write it and send it I'm going to mine maybe they'll get sick of hearing from everyone about it at least...LOL

You are talking about people actually having to give something up, like sacrificing for the good of the many. In this day of screw everyone else, it's all about me, I just don't see it happening. Everyone wants to cry and bellyache about fuel prices, but then they expect everyone else to fix the problem, not themselves. Sacrifice is what made this country great. Unfortunately, lack of it will eventually destroy it.

i only get gas one day a week...i don't have time otherwise. *shrugs* not sure if it's in the plan....lol.

Regarding sacrifice, I agree with you. If the president pulled reserves and stopped agitating major powers overseas that sit on all sorts of supplies we wouldn't be anywhere near the situation we are in now. I honestly don't believe he cares, seeing as he's making a fortune off his insane amounts of oil in TX and the south as we speak.

I'm actually thinking about getting rid of my truck I mean I don't want to because I spent blood sweat and tears into getting my truck the way I want it. my dad suggested to keep and park it somewheres and get something smaller but I'm afraid I can't afford that because they are jacking the price up on the smaller economize sized vehicles I mean come on we all seen it coming. Buffy I wish you the best of luck and hopefully your petition well spread across the nation. Hope nothing but the best for you girl.

What is the point if you fill up before then the gascompany will sell the same amount of gas anyway.
You need to bring out the bike if you are going to make a difference.
I have a buissnes, I don´t care about my daily sale, it´s the average that counts.

I agree it prob won't hurt a lot, but little... that's the prob with this world today... it's all about me memememememe... I wasn't talking about anyone sacrificing anything like theirlives or anything... that's what I'm talking about everyone's bitching and bellyaching over the prices, then let's do something about it....

Sadly, in the Land of Aus., if petroleum companies got wind of this protest, they'd jack up their fuel prices big time, 2 days in advance, (knowing everyone was going to fill up before hand) and we'd be no better off!

I'm afraid that is what would happen here to, would like to keep it hush hush, but then can't speard it, I'm just sick of all the talking don't know what would help though

In the end, it's all about $$$s.

The rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer.

Don't buy from the large corporations like Exxon/Mobile. Support the smaller companies instead. Doing this will make the big boys sit up and take notice

Here's some info on this website worth looking at, about 'Peak Oil':

I bought Matthew Stein's book 'When Technology Fails' last year and can highly recommend it. Brilliant!
