i have a garden so iv just ordered one of those dog poo bins that you put in the ground ,il wait till i have him before i get him a collar ,lead ,and muzzle ,but what else am i missing ? see im getting him for cons 10th birthday on 13th this month and yes i do know most of his care will come to me but thats fine .

i know the basics of dogs and pups but one of my friends just got a girl from the litter and shes not stopped crying at night for 4 days ,so i need help and advice on whats best for him and us .

Hot water bottle (not too hot) and a clock that has a loudish tick... put under pup's bedding... the ticking will help the puppie settle... sounds like mothers heart beat

Actually Dilly American Pit Bulls have been outlawed in Australia because of the amount of attacks.uh oh!

YOu sound well prepared I suppose its like all puppies they cry, but just show it who's boss from the beginning and you'll be fine.

shit advice I know but its all I have at the moment laugh

how old are the pups?...ive read that you can put a hot water bottle, rapped in a towel and a ticking clock to simulate another being...ive tried that along time ago and it did'nt work...but, every dog is differant....i would make it a little box to sleep in close to my bed....so, what kinda' blood line does this dog have?...my honey dog is heavy jeep/ redboy....she's spoiled rotten too....i think she believes shes a poodle....lol

Treat him like a dog and be the leader of the pack or pit bulls will run over you. Have to be very assertive with them.

Why did you choose a pit bull of all breeds may I ask?

Pit bulls come up every year for ban here because our police department has to shoot so many because they are vicious.

I know there are those that aren't. It is just a breed I wouldn't have thought a cute young lady like you would want.

I used to raise dogs, there are two things you can do to help the crying situation. bring something you will leave with the pup like a blanket, pillow, cloth something to the litter site and leave so that it picks up the smell of the other pups and the mum. That seems to soothe the new puppy when it is moved to a new location. Alternatively a wind up alarm clock in a sock (protected) helps as the sound reassures the pup for some reason. I've tried both and they work... most of the time.

Good luck...get plenty of nylon chew toys, I had an American pit bull and my goodness he loved to chew things.

cheers

Just give him a lot of love. Have several different things for him to eat, some of them he may not like. Be ready to spank him when you catch him using the bathroom in the house and as soon as you catch him take him to the door and make him know that he is to go outside when he needs to use bathroom. There is a lot to learn with pets, for both you and him. GOOD LUCK with him....Lynn

con decided that he wanted one years ago so every-time china has had a litter con whips up the tears but now out of all his friends hes the only one without a dog ,personally i think if he has a bit of responsibility it will calm him down as he is a hyper child ,thank you bouquet of flowers

....just a good feed...always check the ingredients....if it starts with ground corn...its just cereal filler....empty calories for a growing pup....diamond dog food is a pretty good feed...its not that expensive....but, i dont know if its available where you live...im not sure...7 weeks is a little baby....you mite want to see if you can take two, temporaraly,....it will help them adjust slowly...
