sadly he had to leave the band that he founded after only 3 years do to mental problems and heavy drug use. i do believe he did a solo album a couple years later after leaving pink floyd, other than that he led a pretty quiet life taking up gardening and his art

no, he died in 2006 and hasnt written any song for pink floyd since probably 1968 when he had to quit the band. most songs pink floyd are know for were written after he left
