Ok, here it is, There is a certain woman I know that I would love to ask out on a date, she is a single woman, the only problem is, everytime Im around her all she seems to want to talk about is her X-boyfriend. So, should I steer clear and let her work out her issues or should I ask her out and deal with it? RJ confused

Sounds like she has to much baggage in her life that she needs to get rid of first.

And the rest is up to you on how you handle the situation.

t could be two things:

She is still much occupied in her mind with her ex.
or
You make her feel a little vulnerable (in a good way) but reacts this way.

I would ask her out, let her reply to that, and then agree with her to not talk about ex relations on that date (any one of you).

One or two slip ups are always accepted, but if she accepts the date, and agrees to the “no ex talk” but still goes on about her ex and this is uncomfortable to you, you at least tried.

Hello.

If you never try, you'll never know... if she is just lost behind souvenirs mirror and needs to be pushed out the shades to open her eyes on you OR if she is still in love/lust with her ex-boyfriend...

Two situations, one way to clear it : Jump in her world. (You won't lose any eyes or bones, just time if it's the second case)

Good luck wink

Some women tend to say too much when they are nervous around a guy.....I know I do sometimes. She may not realize you are as attracted to her as she is to you and is trying to make your "just friends" relationship apparent. I think you should change the subject back to her everytime her ex comes up. Make it very apparent that you are interested in things she likes...and not about him. If she is interested in you, she will get the hint.

In an uncanny way, you are slowly becoming a friend by listening to her woes. D'oh!

However, you have to say when enough is enough as this can become a bit too much for you, especially if you are not a psychologist. conversing

Ask the girl out and tell her how you feel. At least that will save you unnecessary headache in the future!

I would ignore the ex-boyfriend talk. Not because you are insensitive, and don't care, but because it shouldn't matter to you, and you don't care. If you are too concerned about that guy, she will sense that you lack confidence, and your chances of getting a date will fart and fly out the window.

Yes, i do agree. You may turn into a shoulder (just that) if you don't ask her to stop talking about her ex. Let her talk about her ex is for very experienced recipients, those who know how to manipulate what would be the pure result of that blah, blah of hers. Not that you are unexperienced, but...tell her you want her and there is no sense in her keep talking about her ex. Does she know you want her? Tell her, explain the logic of paying attention to both of you instead!

cheers
