The Joy of Sex, complete rubbish, nothing like me at all.

I prefer arty books, not autobiographies, nothing about celebrities, so do not buy me one, leave it for the yooof.

I read a varied amount, John Irving, Bill Bryson, Sophie Kinsella, oh to name a few.

"What books in your collection would give the wrong impression of you ??"

Absolutely none of them. All of the books in my possession were purchased for a reason and the reason for having a particular book is part of who I am/aspire to be or what I am curious about.

Someone could pick up a reference volume on knot tying from my shelves and logically assume that I am interested in the tying of different knots and they would be correct. Or they might notice a thesaurus and make the leap that I am into words and or/language and they would still be correct. They might even stumble across an old and forgotten romance novel and make yet another correct assumption regarding that particular tome. Or, they might make incorrect assumptions about every book on my shelves and it still wouldn't necessarily give the wrong impression of me.

And in the end, I've never been insecure enough for it to matter to me one way or another.laugh

i have all sorts of books
which i have spent the weekend arguing w/ myself that i dont need to pay to ship them to englandD'oh!

to me as a youth-my picture of 'success' was always having a library in the home-which equals having a boatload of books
which i do

everything you can imagine
some i read once a year or every coupla years

i keep trying to remind myself there are libraries there
but its different-these are MINE

ive already dumped maybe 300 books-but still-its ridiculous to ship books-help

<<<loves to read
