Is mental abuse more damaging than physical abuse.

Each abuse is damaging in it's own way.

Mental scars will result as a symptom of physical abuse.

Usually the two are intertwined.

In the UK, abuse is abuse, mental, physical, financial.

and emotional*

Yep I agree with all of that ^ Abuse is Abuse.

They can all hurt as badly as each other.. (depending on the degree in which it hurts you obviously)

thumbs up What I was going to say, only better worded.

Abuse of any kind is damaging to someone who doesn't have the strength to get away from it, kids especially. Anyone who hurts a child should be drawn and quartered. Grown people who allow themselves to be abused are another story. Been there, done that, got rid of the tshirt.

technically its all mental abuse. Physical abuse heals usually, what's left however is the mental trauma and that sometimes takes much longer.

My husband was all the ways you can be abusive to me..

but to be honest.. as sad and pathetic as it sounds.. most of the time I would rather he just hit me than mentally tormented me.
