Only God knows for sure when the world will end. It is written in the Book of Revelations in the Bible a series of events that will happen as the world is coming to an end. Those who believe will be saved and go with God to live in heaven those who do not believe will parish with the earth in a great ball of fire.

I always thought the Mayan theory talked about a "Great Awakening" when man would know his true self and what not. I didn't think it actually spoke of the end of the world. But hey, I could be wrong. Imagine that. :P

In all honesty, I've dropped the Christian idea of the end of the world. Well, the conventional idea anyway.

I saw something on solar flares on the History Channel one time. It said the next predicted giant flare was around 2011. This flare would beat away our magnetic field just enough to fry all electronic devices. I imagine it would mess up our climate and ecosystems for awhile as well. And as we all know, an end to all electronics would effectively "end the world" as we know it today.

Personally, I think our race has been a scourge to the planet since we began to industrialize. If Earth wants us gone, then we'll be gone.

Jesus states quite clearly in the Bible that nobody but the Father knows when the end will come.. there will be signs, but the exact day, time and hour, nobody but the Father knows... when he speaks of death in that passage, he is speaking of spiritual death.. life is not considered in the physical form.. in fact to 'live' in the spiritual sense is to die to self, spiritual people particularly those with the gift of prophesy, have to 'die to self' before they can know the Father...

Don't claim to know me and what I'm about. I'm simply saying we haven't been very good caretakers since industry boomed. As a whole, I'm disappointed with our kind. But, individuals prove to be better than the whole on many occasions.

Accepting of what.. the world the way it is?.... or ur 'lot' so to speak...

Accepting of all of it. People, the way they are, some good, some not so good. Life and all it has to offer. Not knowing if there's anything more after we die, and not really worrying about it. Strange occurences, and trying to figure out their meaning, if there even really is one. Of myself in all that I am, and not.
There's more but i think you get the idea.
The only thing I can change is myself, and my attitude, not anyone elses and accept it all for what it is.

I do still get some delight in poking fun at the assholes on this planet though.
