Who is DeMello Ginger ?

its great to hear you are getting it right anyway.........

I always thought that my thinking was so outside the box on stuff like this that there was no hope for me ever "fitting in" or finding anyone who thought like me. Now I can actually laugh at that very idea.....

There a series of three of these videos of lectures by Anthony De Mello who was a Jesuit Priest with some broad minded and very sound philosophical ideas on love, life and reality that our present pope didn't take too kindly to...

Thanks Ginger, I will look them up in the morning. Have you heard of the Jesuit guy Pierre De Teillard De Chardan? his works melted my soul too - he has an amazing treatiste on love which I found to be imbued with the purest of thoughts - that, coming from an Atheist is quite something but I do have to admit to a respect for some of the Jesuits for the simple reason that their persuit of knowledge, purity and truth yielded many rewards...........

His interest in me does, with a couple of footnotes though - the person is confident enough in himself and has a sense of humour.

His mind...I am attracted to someone who is intelligent and able to keep the conversation going, besides the SEX of course..

Imagination a must. If he can't think of what to say to stimulate you.. then maybe he's a dud in bed too!

Out of respect and regard for you opinions Ginger, I just sat through the whole of the vid and whilst I loved his comittment to the message he was trying to convey, I just couldnt get my head round some of the concepts - sorry.......... I did try.................

Why is it up to "him" to stimulate "you"??

A very basic prerequisite HJ has to be that they are at least interesting, can at least bring personality to the table - male or female

"You" are not a freak by any means. IMO, it is to bad many others do not know and get in to DeMello...

Just "my" experience. When I have paid attention and attempt to understand those that are highly rejected by others, I find to most wonderful human beings inside..

The "basic prerequisites" demanded by so many, "may" be the reason so many are single and have been for so long..

My thoughts, also. I would add- no being mean or saying mean things about other people, no crudeness, no calling me by enderements when we first meet- don't know me yet, don't call me the little woman either.

Im not thinking 'demands' HJ, its more a case of being interested in a person in the first place - they have to have the ability to attract, to have something which will entice if you like - the spark - and after that the ability to keep your interest

Suggestion... Next time you walk into a cafe and see some guy you are NOT attracted to sitting alone, ask him if he is waiting for someone or if you could join him. You may find a wonderful friend..
