OR do they just say they do........

OK I figured I would write something a little contraversal, curious on people's thoughts..... have some fun with it...

That is very simple to anwser..

1) If we are working on something(like around the house or on a car or something

SHUT UP! (ok please be quiet)

leave us alone, DO NOT! I repeat, DO NOT! stand over us and ask us stupid questions about the project or tell us what you think would be a better way, when you have never done that something before.......... We will shoot you.....or leave to get away from you and sometimes go get drunk instead..

2)Do not ask loaded questions

3) Do not tell us that you want to be treated as an equal, because 99% of you are lying

Most men I know are willing to help out with house work and help raise their children and work also... Plus take care of our MANLY DUTIES I will treat you equal if you want equal.

1)when I hear a noise in the middle of the night, or someone come through our front door, YOU handle that situation.....

2)When it is pouring down rain or their is ice on the windows of the car, you clean the windows, and pull the car around so that I am not in the elements...

3)When the car breaks down, the roof has a leak, there is a whole in the drywall, the neighbor or family member has a tree that fell into their house, or there is some at my work herassing me, or we need to move ourselves and our families refrigerator, washer and dryer and stove, or the dog needs to be walked but it is -10 degrees outside, or any other dirty rough joband that get someone hurt or killed then... You take care of it and I will treat you like an equal....

I would rather treat you like a LADY and am glad to do all the rough stuff to make you happy, and treat you with the utmost respect, and ensure they you are treated that way by others as well...

But if you want equal I will get you equal...

now I am going in hiding...hole cheers

I think the majority like having equality as an option that they may play at their convenience.

Of course we do, and that doesn't automatically suggest a loss of simple good manners from either sex as you suggest.

The fact is that many men don't want to go along with this unheard of phenomenon and try to convince us that somehow it means we aren't 'ladies' anymore and therefore lose the right to polite and helpful behaviour towards us.

Just because I love it when a man brings me flowers for example doesn't mean that I have to relinquish all thoughts of being 'equal''.

You men are fortunate in that you've never had to ponder this question of equality. You have it, by virtue of being male (white and middle class in many instances).

Okay. When you're required BY LAW to register for Selective Services, I'll treat this post seriously.

Going to war is an option for women. Going to war is an OBLIGATION for men. Till then, equality for women is merely convenient, or inconvenient, not life-threatening...

In some countries conscription is obligatory for both sexes.

In other countries both men and women CHOOSE to join the armed forces and therefore are sent to areas of conflict if the need arises.

I think you're missing the point here. We aren't talking about equality in terms of who is on the front line, or at least I don't think we are. Equality means so much more than that.

Of course it means more, enlistment into the services is just one example of where equality is blurred.

Additionally while laws are different across the world for the sexes the requirements between the sexes to enlist, remain in service, and live in the services always differ.

Equality? We are different in most ways. are we equal? In some ways we are and some we are not!
There are a number of things that women have done for years, that men at one time would have never dreamed about doing. But today men are doing it and in some cases better then some women. There are things that has always only ever been a man to do it. And now women are doing it and in some cases better then some men.
I live by myself so if it sounds like someone is down stairs I guess it will be me to check it out. Ask questions while your working on the car, If I hadn't asked I would not have known how to fix my car when it broke down in the middle of a snow storm on my way to work. I had no money for a garage and no one to call.
Are we equal no!! A man can not squeeze a water mellon from his pinnis and a women can not pee her name in the snow.

Why is equality in what we can physically do only,
surely it's also in respect and helping each other
with our individual talents to compliment each
other?

peace devil

laugh

But that's not 'equality' it's skills and the tools we have!

The word equality in terms of the sexes, for me anyway, is synonymous with rights and respect regardless of gender.

Not missing the point at all. Confirmation bias works both ways. Cite an example, and watch the strawman and ad hominem attacks take flight.

I think you're missing MY point, which is, having your cake, and eating it too, but that's to be expected. My suspicion is that its intentional.

I'm out of this thread. super

Do I want a man to get out and fix my car yes, do I want a man to see if someone is in fact broke in yes. Do I want a man to squeeze a water mellon from his pinnis? I would pay good money to see that!rolling on the floor laughing
