My dog...either having to pee or getting me up just for the hell of it...while she has a drink..eats and then goes back to bed....

Men are the best alarm clock. They're the only kind that actually get my butt up and going before 7am. My alarm clock now sounds like a fire alarm and is all the way across the room, and I still hit snooze 2-3 times before getting up.

I wake up at 4:45 - 5:00 every morning. I set an alarm just in case, but seldom need it. I had sleep problems most of my adult life - structure is key.

My alarm clock is set to buzzer, but it's a beep that starts out slowly, then speeds up and gets louder gently.

The Grace of God.

Well for starters I work permanent night shifts so I am always up early in the chronological morning. I have not slept more than a couple hours (without serious meds) for the past ten years. I have relinquished most of the meds now and only use them under extreme duress. I wake before my alarm clock every day, regardless of when I go to bed. I cannot even remember the sound of it anymore. I do recall that it is a crescendo alarm that begins rather low and progresses until it is blaring, but for the actual sound I have no idea. Occasionally when I do fall alseep if I have forgotten to fill my cats' dish they will pounce on me and crawl all over me. My black cat Dash will often curl up around my hand and nibble it gradually until he decides to try to take a chunk out of my thumb nail. And the Grey one Chase will rub his nasty ass fangs on my other hand. Either response will certainly destroy whatever sleep I have attempted so I am very cautious about maintaining a full dish at all times. Feline persuasion or indoctrination, whatever it is, it certainly works.

A little black ball of fur licking my face and/or rubbing against my beard until I get up to feed her breakfast :). I set an alarm four days a week but my kitten almost never lets me sleep late enough for it to actually wake me up.
