The IM function on here sucks. it's too freakin' slow. And I got tired of people I don't know from Adam's housecat interrupting me in the middle of typing a post. 9 times out of 10 it was either from Pakistan or a 22 year old boy. Or both.

If anyone I know wants to IM me, send me an email, and I'll turn it on or better yet give you my YM id, it actually works!

i know...mine gets pop-ups threw the hole dang thang...its like exlax....it irritates the sh1t out of melaugh professor

When I first came on here I had some very unpleasant experiences posting in the forums. Those regulars everyone talks about were not very kind. Maybe that is why people prefer to use the IMs.
Personally I won't accept any more invites because there are some real sickos out there that hide in the IMs. The things they say.
I will only speak on IM to someone who first asks, emails or sends me a flower.

I meant as a precursor to a date... sometimes it´s nice to start getting to know someone without all of CS being privy to whats being said.

I have only use IM once and that was on another site.
It was I thought annoying as a phone call was only 20cents
and a whole lot personal.

On this site someone tried to IM me but I just could not get it to work.
So I'm not quite sure if problem is my computer is not compatible or just
the useless operator.dunno D'oh!

I'd rather just use email for that, then the phone. Really after the first few contacts, I'd just as soon leave CS out of it entirely. I mean who knows if private email on here is really private? dunno

I have my IM turned off cause I got tired of people trying to chat with me that I didn't know or perhaps had no interest in talking to. Of course I have my profile setting set to where only certain people from certain countries can see it. Most countries are blocked though. Simply to avoid outrageous marriage proposals that I first got when I started here lol
