jlw45: did some of the acts use a stand up bass player?.....that sounds like a fun festival


It really was a brilliant one and there were all sorts of instruments - lots of groups standing round jammin here n there as well as the main acts - yeah, I think I remember stand up bass players too - there were some right characters too laugh

yea, i bet there were...there is a music festival in kerrville texas that i hav'nt got to go to...i've heard its like what you discribed....i'm not sure but, i think its a week long festival...

serious response there is a rockabilly station in Detroit that plays rockabilly 24/7 on the net...As for France it sucks really...Although in a few weeks the Stray cats are coming to town as part off their farewell tour and I've got my ticketpeace

Check out Ray Campi...Chew tobacco rag...excellent rockabilly...fantastic slap bass...personally can't beat slappin' done by bill black on Baby let's house...Toss up in my head btw that and mystery train is the perfect rockabilly sound..same as perfect rock'n'roll hard to beat rock a round the clock...

Yep - is all no problem - if I spot any Swedish Volleyball players Ill put em on to your profile, no probs laugh

I find the net brilliant for tracking down rare music - its such a shame the filesharing thing is coming in for such bad rap - I found quite a few that you cant buy anywhere that way moping

Easy go to you tube and put the name of basically any artist, followed by the name of the song and down load the song on to your media player..there's a fantastic amont of music on you tube...some very good rockabillyhead banger

I look in on utube a lot too and agree, there is a lot of stuff - theres some really good vids get posted on CS vids from utube too thumbs up
