There comes a point in time where finding love may not ever happen again.

My grandmother lived 22 years after her husband died without ever falling in love again.

People on this site have proclaimed they may never find love again. This isn't relegated to the older members. I have seen very young and hurt people say it also.

Is there a point in time where we say, "I give up?" We come here and lay out who we are, the good and the bad, become embarassed about our shortcomings.

We try to put our best foot forward, and it still doesn't seem good enough.

I don't know about you, but this is very difficult. The hopes we have, only to be dashed by rejection. The love we find, only to come back here in pain.

When is enough enough?

This is not about me personally...please share YOUR viewpoints about yourselves if you wish to.

Thanks.

I think it may be true that some may look too hard.

But if you keep yourself positive you never know
who may pop up as the next newbie on CS
or someone out shopping who catches your eye
or walking in the park
down the gym (not a place I frequent myself)

If your not happy on your own then enough is never enough
and you have to keep half an eye open to possibilities.

I have been single now for 2 years, and during that time I've dated a few women. Some have lasted, days, weeks, months. They of course had some issues, or maybe it was me that had the issues, yet giving up is not in me.

Nothing ventured , nothing gained.

Will I find her? If I knew the answer to this question, life would not be fun at all. the excitement comes from the hunt. The way you feel when she steals your heart.
Pain comes with every attempt at love and happiness and my heart has felt much pain, yet though torn and battered, it is strong and has withstood the tests of love, and will not give in to being alone. It's not in me.

Catching your eye is an entirely different matter than seeking or tolerating love. I seldom go anywhere rhat a woman doesn't catch my eye

I've been in relationships that would've taken the life out of me, literally. I almost gave up and then thought better of it. Falling inlove is so wonderful, one cannot seem to get enough of it. It's really challenging. Getting hurt makes one strong and if right now the only way is to fall inlove over and over again, i'm up for it.

I'm neither desperately seeking nor regarding a future relationship as a completely hopeless endeavor. Rather, I like to view the situation as I am open to the possibility. smoking

The fact was I did not want to be in a relationship and was perfectly happy single till the last one occured. It's now over, but ironically, it's shown me that I am capable of being in a relationship.

So, I believe this, despite the hurt and longing I'm going through now, must be happening for a good reason.

Sweetheart enough is never enough. To live in a world where you have given up on love is to live with out happiness. I joined this site to meet people and make friends but I haven't closed the door to love.

Considering the great pains I had from love in the past I thought that was it. However I have had my eyes opened on this site. I have been reassured that it could happen again. To anyone and that it doesn't have to hurt.

Sorry for the book.blushing
