This is the greatest country on Earth. Throughout history, poverty, slaughter, wars have been the norm. We have never had it so good.
The average poor person in this country would be considered rich in 2/3 of other countries of the world.
Americans give more time, effort, money, resources to the world than all other countries combined.
During the Great Depression, we had 25% unemployment. Today we have 6%
The US stock market is still one of the best long term investments in the world.
A Hurricane in Galveston Texas 100 years ago killed 8000 people! Today, we have plenty of warning to prevent such loss of life.
Religion, politics are no different today than they were 200 years ago...they will always be contentious issues.
We are not in a mess. We have problems, but compared to what it was throughout history, I feel blessed to be born and live in this country. I am not proud to be an American, I am blessed to be an American. I am proud of America's accomplishments here and throughout the world, but I am humbled to be part of this country.
I dont understand ur reasoning.Merril lynch had to sell to keep from going under, fanny mae and freddy mac were taken over by the Goverment,AIG is hanging on by a thread, this has been the biggest stock market mess since the 30s.I wasnt here to see that,I didnt say we wouldnt pull out, just that Americans need to stop letting these trouble makers on here get us all fighting, and for all of us to pull together.Like the old saying goes United we stand Divided we fall.Actually we r saying the same thing if u read my post.We are still a blessed nation.
