I'm only too painfully aware of my own faults . in some ways it;'s a good thing because i can try and change- ihave a friend that sees the good way to handle things the way i know i don't ( grumpy cowlaugh ) and sometimes, in a situation i say to myself..... how would ------- handle this- and i find her way yields much better results!! wish i had her whispering in my ear all the time!!

other times it is not so good- leads to the ...'why would anyone be interested in me?' kind of ?? whether as partner or friend.

luckily - i have good friends that point out my good points when i need it- the rest i just have to deal with- and hope that a man can see through the insecurities and see the 'good' heart that lies beneath
good post!!

I know my faults well. Every once in a while I take a little time off to reflect on them. It's always a good week. dancing

I know my own faults. But if there are any I am not aware of, I am sure they will be pointed out to me. Of course: Ignorance is no defense.moping

Yes you have to be careful that your not becoming your own enemy.
Analyzer would then become; paralyzers.
As I said earlier; Don't drag yourself down, others will do it for you.
Your lucky you got good friends

Staying with the same trend.
Can you accept criticism?
I try to take it as constructive.
Here again if I can see it, and can
thus change, then I have become the
beneficiary.

Of course I know some of them but it would be ridiculous to say I was aware of all my short-comings. Ironically, we are often the last the realise them and, besides, how we believe ourselves to be can be quite different to how others perceive us.

I am more than happy for others to put me straight on a thing or two, providing its well-intentioned, of course. Otherwise.... how would I learn?

One way to glean an idea of one's perspective of oneself is to ask "if I was someone else, would I like ME?" My answer would probably be ...

NO!!! What a bloody pain in the arse!!! And I have no doubt, there are those that would agree with me....

Waiting to be crushed in the stampede...... hee hee!! uh oh! help

rolling on the floor laughing

When others criticize you, for things like you say you missed,
can you think of it as constructive?
For if they are right it is you who benefits.
This does not mean that everything that is thrown at you is for you to
accept as truth.
I analyze it.

I'm resigned to my faults. It's nice to know they're there, but "knowing really isn't controlling" as the Moody Blues so astutely pointed out...sigh

Yes...often with my customary humor. Thankfully, I am able to laugh at myself. Yes, I am honest enough to look within, and if I see it there, to change for the better and thank the person who gave me the insight.

It also often depends on the source. If it comes from a horses' a**, well, then I take it with a grain of salt.

laugh
