Hugz_n_Kissez: I don't believe we should all be the same...I mean being of a different race and culture is something to be proud of...and something to embrace...however where we fall down..is respecting differences and appreciating the commonalities among us all that make us human....and yes I agree that racism is not just a caucasian thing....it exists all over the place and maybe the key does start with our kids...teaching them respect for all different races...and also I think it lies with the education system to truly educate kids on other races than their own....so that stereo-types have a chance to be eradicated....
The only all sameness I'm advocating is earthling(ness).
It was my buddy that I was paraphrasing with the "all 1 color"
Variety IS the spice of life and also what keeps balance.
But not only to change it in our children, but for them.
They inherit whatever we leave them, good, bad, ugly, livable or
otherwise(or unwise).
The key is us, if we don't start to change ourselves, how can we expect the kids to be able to?
You know, the old "be the change you'd like to see". I think that was Ghandi, WHAT an example of being the change!!!!
