shipoker58: I know what you mean, 2008. And speaking of frustrating thread-busters, I just snagged my jacket on a loose screw in the doorway! One of my favorite jackets, too.

Has anyone here ever damaged their favorite jackets in a similar manner?[/ quote]
I haven't...but Monica Lewinsky ruined a perfectly nice black dress, once Can you imagine keeping that in you closet all those years? What other "dirty laundry" might she have in there???

You'd think she'd understand the concept of "dry cleaning".

But she was only an intern and clearly had lots to learn rolling on the floor laughing

im always a bit put off by new people that instantly start complaining or desire to help CS 'improve'

thats just my feeling about it.

so often these people show up, post, disappear, dont open mail and flowers...and then return later and explain how we could behave better

if someone joined a club or walked into a party and acted like that i would surely shy away...theres something to be said for people that
can hang out and make an attempt to blend in, get the lay of the land and just basically be 'right sized'

dunno

Are you one of these "Thread Busters"?
We call it thread jacking, and we're all experts. Some of the most interesting topics discussed on here have nothing to do with the original topic.

I don't really understand why it aggravates anyone. All's ya gotta do is scroll past the posts you don't want to read. dunno grin

Yeah, next someone will be telling you that you shouldn't be here since you got married. MYOB is a useful concept very few understand.

Another thing that puts me off big time is when people who hardly ever post complain about cliques. You hang out with a group of people but never speak to anyone, and then complain they don't talk to you? Gimme a break. rolling eyes

well bam bam-ya hit it on the head there

myob has become byoblaugh

this OP and others who are new or want to be here
complaining isnt attractive
playing is
dunno

it takes time to get to a more than nodding acquaintanceship
in real life-why would online be any different-?
this is what i mean by 'right sized'...confused

start threads and leave-if youre not in the room any number of conversations might start-if you were at a party would you resent leaving the room and returning later to find people involved in a different conversation?

even when we are in the room people will group or the convo changes direction-SO WHAT? thats what happens in social situations

isnt it?

Thought y'all might like this:

The gentlest thing in the world
overcomes the hardest thing in the world.
That which has no substance
enters where there is no space.
This shows the value of non-action.

Teaching without words,
performing without actions;
that is the Master's way.

Starlin...you get a "10" for your posts in this thread!!laugh rolling on the floor laughing

I come into threads and try an attempt at some humor. So I might be considered an habitual thread buster.

I think to keep a thread to the subject matter, the OP has to reply to almost every post made and keep it on topic him or herself. So if you want a topic to be not busted, it is the responsibility of the OP.professor

I've been busted flat in Baton Rouge, busted in a million pieces, busted down and broken up, I've busted a radiator belt, busted a leg rodeoin', busted a shoelace, busted my fishin' line and even met Buster Brown. But this thread bustin' thing is a whole new deal for me... I think.sigh
