lanabyte: I have 2 cats. A grey tabby named Chloe and a solid black tabby named Sofie. I've had them since they were 12 weeks old, and aside from a few trips to the vet for shots and spaying, they've never been apart since the day they were born.

And dear Lord do they ever act like siblings!

When your working it would be great if you could afford a companion for your dog or cat.

dillinger: one cat-easy rolling bob. very friendly but a total scrounger, he's forever going to people's houses looking for a free meal.

Where I now live is an community of about 225 homes.
I call it the village as it is run like one.
Cats must be on a lease, so are indoor cats, dogs can only be yah high.

Hugz_n_Kissez: I have what I call a dog and what she thinks is a person...the boss and any other number of descriptive human words....Her name is Missie....and she's as goofy as the day is long.....

Ha ha takes after someone we all know?

lanabyte: My cats think they're human too. And they're sooo smart. Whenever they do something they're not supposed to do, I'll ask very casually "Is that an acceptable behavior?" and they'll stop.

Cats can be trained.
I have a picture somewhere where two cats sit on the toilet.
Google; how to train a cat and most likely that picture will show up.

xoredheadxo: My landlord doesn't allow me to have pets...

But I do feed 2 stray dogs that wander past everyday. I have been here a year and they still won't let me pet them though

Yes that is sad not to be allowed an animal and the dogs that have become wild.
Can't you have the humane society pick them up?
The dogs could easely become a danger.
What would happen if you stopped feeding them?

jesus, cats on leashes. if I tried that with mine he'd go mental. I don't even put a collar on bob. he hates them. he's very independent, comes and goes as he pleases which is good, although one of the neighbours brought him home last week. apparently they'd gone home and found him lying on their bed. god knows how he got in.

sweetowen: My cat, Minnie, & I are roommates. But I must say she has the run of the house while I'm gone... which is a lot. When I bought my home, I asked my daughter & her fiance if I could have her. They hesitantly gave her up to me, because he had given Minnie to my daughter as a gift. However, the boys are too rough with her & she ended up scratching the youngest's eye pretty badly. He's fine & I got the kitty! She is sooooo naughty though!!

It is amazing what kids can get away with teasing an animal even cats.
It is good you got her now. cheering

It can be done a cat on a lease but you have to start when they are a kitten.

I have called the humane society and they have been here several times over the course of the past year, but they can't get them either. Therefore, I just make sure and feed them and give them water.
