True they are hateful signs...but like I said...free speech works both ways....it doesn't stop cause someone else doesn't like what is being said...and yes there are a lot of hateful protests out there....by a lot of different people...apparently agreeing with murder is ok...just ask the anti-abortionists who advocate killing abortion doctors....I'm saying any of it is right...but I am saying that Free Speech is for all....not just for people who agree with what is being said....

Oh I remember. It was huge news here in Sweden . The scandal started in a cartoon of a newspaper. Apparently the cartoon was supposed to be a joke(sarcasm) made about Muslims/terrorists through the depiction of Muhammad, and some Muslims took it really personal and found nothing funny about it. So they protested across Europe and in Muslim countries. They were enraged because the dude who made the derogatory cartoon (or joke) never apologized and Denmark Prime Minister did not do anything to condemn it (freedom of the press).

The Muslims in Europe who took it really personal, were only a handful. Not that many really. It wasn't like a Martin Luther King Jr march on Washington with a million followers.

Cherokee, I don't mean to sound like a smart ass, really I don't but this event was covered in the US media. I was here on vacation at the time and remember it well. I'm only surprised someone else hasn't already mentioned it.

As far as the event itself goes, I think it was an assanine way to protest because of threats of violence. At the same time, I don't think it's an accurate reflection of all Muslims in general, just a relatively few radical ones.
