Each of us has one...have u found it and accomplished it? or u're still confused and waiting for a sign to show u the way?

do u generally think we came here with a certain mission to accomplish or merely by chance?roll eyes what's the reason for all these 80-100 years of living on earth ? "Spiritual growth"? Is it the answer? And if it is....how can one spiritually grow in all this hell created by the human beings?

I know u guys are a lil bit elder than me and i am really curious to know what u think abt the purpose or the lack of purpose of ur lives

It would appear my mission on earth is to ensure that all of Mazda's advertising communications are correct from a technical and product perspective. And to think that I never got to finish my Middle East Peace proposal...smoking

I do believe we each have a life purpose. Picking up on the signs that lead us there, might be a bit of a trick. I think we just need to listen, look, and learn along the way, to take the opportunities as they are given to us by the universe. JMOdunno

I think I am doing my mission on earth - as a doctor I get to help people and save lives.

However, I am not happy where I am at and feel my mission could be "tweaked" a little bit. That is why I am considering opening my own emergency clinic somewhere in the Midwest or Texas. Some state where they have passed Tort reform so my malpractice insurance won't be as high.

To me a Mission is what defines your life. It's your purpose in your life.

My Mission is to take one step at a time, even when I don't yet see where it's all leading, or what the Grand Plan is, or what my overall Mission in life is.

But I do feel my mission on earth was to share with the rest of the human race to do moment by moment, day by day, step by step, to make this world a better place.

"When" my mission is complete, I will no longer know as I know it today and that is when I will know exactly what my mission was. In the meantime, I will continue to ask the God of my understanding for guidance while imposing my self-will.

One need not get caught up in all the hell being created by humans, it is a "choice" we make. There is an old saying, "Let Go, Let God"..

Now, do I have any proof of my ideas? I don't know, look around, look for the good in this world and its people, not the bad.

Want to know God? Look to a dog, spelled backwards it is God. A dog shows real & constant love, works when it has to, plays often, is always happy when fed, played with, has shelter, gets to go for a ride, etc.

Maybe there are some things to learn from a dog. And BTW, when one is having a bad day and one yells at the dog, the dog does NOT pack its bags and split..dunno

But, I am old & senile, what the hell do I know??

Another thought!! Go to any animal shelter, see how many dogs will jump at the chance to have you take them home and love them and they you..grin

There is a thought that the purpose of life is to
achieve happines. After all, even the Constitution
of The United States promises "life, liberty and the
pursuit of happiness".

Man is the only animal that laughs and weeps, for
he is the only animal that is struck with the difference
between what things are, and what they ought to be.

Maybe the journey we're on is primarily one of suffering.
Without suffering a person would remain unconscious,
infantile and dependent.
Yet many of our addictions, idealogical attachments and
neuroses are flights from suffering.
One in four North Americans identify with fundamentalist
belief systems, seeking to unburden their journey with
simplistic black and white values. Another twenty five to
fifty per cent give themselve to one addiction or another.
The remainder have chosen to be neurotic.

James Hollis.

laugh funny Gra thumbs up

my mission is to grab life by the short n curlies and just get on with it - nobody is going to do it for you and the effort can be pretty relentless but the rewards can be too - if you dont weaken

thats easy enough for me to say nowadays, Ive been down and felt helpless with the best of em and I guess its on days or times like those that its hard work to just find the smallest positive thing about any given day - just never stop looking - dont give up and all will turn out ok thumbs up
